hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed the body and the soul.
Alfred Austin
Many people seek various methods to stay motivated, whether it's through meditation, yoga, or other personal choices. For me, gardening serves as a means to maintain my health and productivity. Research in psychology indicates that being surrounded by nature not only promotes physical well-being but also has a positive impact on mental health. Whenever I feel low, I indulge in gardening by purchasing new plants and seedlings. Witnessing these vibrant newcomers basking in the morning sunlight never fails to bring a smile to my face. The process of nurturing these plants, from their infancy to maturity, instills a sense of patience and love for my environment.
Planting saplings not only benefits me personally but also contributes to broader environmental goals. It aids in preserving biodiversity, combating climate change, and fostering sustainable practices. Through these actions, individuals can demonstrate their commitment to the planet's well-being and inspire others to do the same.
"Let me tell you something – planting a tree is way more fulfilling than indulging in gossip sessions. Sure, we girls have a natural tendency to gossip, and hey, there's nothing wrong with that! But when it starts becoming a habit that consumes us, it can change who we are as individuals. And trust me, that's not a change we want to see in ourselves. It's a waste of precious time and energy, and by the time we realize it, the damage might already be done. We end up inviting toxicity into our lives, along with a bunch of toxic people.
Then there's the silent killer known as social media. I was once glued to my phone, checking for updates every minute, obsessing over likes, and mindlessly stalking people from my past. It was like I couldn't let go of the ghosts that haunted me. Losing those connections hit me hard, and it was emotionally draining. But you know what? It forced me to take a long, hard look at myself and make some changes.
Now, I'm not ashamed to admit that. If anything, it was a wake-up call that I desperately needed. It made me realize what truly matters in life – what makes me happy, what I'm passionate about, and most importantly, what I need to do to be the best version of myself. Because let's face it – at the end of the day, you've got no one but yourself. So instead of investing all your time and energy into relationships with others, why not focus on the most important relationship of all – the one you have with yourself?"
